1987 Palmero Grey Mitsubishi Starion ESi saved

My buddy Jeff told me during the summer of 2023 that there was a Mitsubishi Starion or Chrysler Conquest in a driveway up in his Pentucket neighborhood. I did a drive-by and sure enough, a Mitsubishi Starion ESi was sitting on top of the driveway. It had all of the signs of sitting for a long time.

I left a voice mail message with the home owner associated with the address. I got a call several weeks later and made a plan to swing by. The Starion was 100% complete with the exception of a missing front air dam. There was no license plate and the last state inspection was almost twenty years earlier. The family member who owned the car passed away then as well. I was shown a receipt for a certified warranty engine replacement before the owners death from a Manchester, NH facility. My hands were full of projects and the homeowner was sort of up in the air what do with the car. I advised the home owner to reach out to me before they make any rash decisions such as send the car to the junk yard.

A year went by and the leaves were about to start to hit the ground in the fall. I called the home owner and we came to an agreement on the car. I made two trips to clean out a shed full of parts. The third trip was on a Friday night to pull the Mitsubishi Starion home. It cleaned up pretty well. More to come.
